This is our favorite and super fast homemade salsa. It's WAY cheaper than buying it in the store and oh so good! I made this tonight to go with our enchiladas, but unfortunately had no onions in the house! How does that happen?! So below is the ingredients minus the onions.
1 can tomatoes and green chilis (14.5 oz. can)
1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz can plus juice)
1T + 1 tsp. Jalapenos, diced
1/4 C. onion, diced
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. sugar
In blender place jalepenos and onions. Pulse for just a few seconds. Add both cans of tomatoes, salt, sugar, and cumin. Blend ingredients until well blended but do not puree. Place in covered container and chill.
If you have a helper like this it's much more fun! :)
I've been making salsa this way for over 8 years and we still love it. Enjoy!

Thanks! I usually make salsa when tomatoes are in season and can enough for all year, but this will be the recipe I use in case I run out before the tomatoes are ready!
