Mothers Day Reflections

Mothers Day is obviously a day to spoil and appreciate the mothers in our lives.  I was able to see my mommy in Ft. Collins on Sunday.  We met for dinner at Panera and had a fun time hearing about their recent trip to visit my sister in China!

I was spoiled more than ever this year!  My sweet husband surprised me with a beautiful ring with each of my children’s birthstones in it.  Yes, it made me cry!  He had to work at church early on Sunday and while I was in bed and he was headed out the door he sent the kids upstairs with the ring.  They also came up with their homemade gifts.  So sweet.

This past Sunday I couldn't help thinking of how much I have to be grateful for. I have four beautiful gifts from God.  Four hearts that have been entrusted to me to love, nurture, teach, and train.

Four mouths to feed.
Four slobs to pick up after.  (a never ending job)
Forty fingers and forty toes to clip. (although my oldest is a big boy now and does his own!)
Four hearts to love.
Four humans to teach about God’s love.

Thank you Lord for these precious lives.  Thank you for the hard times, the fun times, and everything in between.  Thank you for giving me the strength to get through each day, and for bridging the gaps when I fail so often as a mommy.
