I sit here on this cool Monday morning with a hot mug of french pressed coffee and the french press next to me ready for refills! It's been one of those weekends. The kind where nothing planned happens and you are home all weekend cleaning up throw up, handing out cough medicine, and doing dishes constantly. In the midst of the craziness, I am super thankful that sometimes God makes us slow down, stop, and be home. I did get extra laundry done, a Thanksgiving tree made, leaves cut out, and a start on assembling The Child Training Bible. It was a different kind of busy.
Now it's Monday and only Kaylee went to school. I made doctor appointments for all 3 boys, and we will see if "Dr. Mom's" predictions are correct - sinus infections and croup. I'm tired but grateful for so much. I have been told by so many precious people lately that I am too busy and need to slow down, and I'm realizing maybe I should listen! My goals for this week? Slow down, pray about my calendar/schedule, inventory what is really a priority, and take time to enjoy this week leading up to Thanksgiving. With that in mind, here are my goals this week.
November 12 - 18 goals:
*One load of laundry washed, folded, put away each day
*Church work done early morning - start early, completed by 9:00am, then offline unless needed
*Finish assembling Child Training Bible
*Family Thanksgiving Tree time each day
*Pray through schedule and prioritize
*Look my children in the eye when they talk to me (and remove distractions from really listening)
I'm sure more will come up, but I'm keeping it simple so far.
Gotta run. Three boys to get out the door and to the doctor.
